MYSG

The MSYG is Redeemer’s Middle School Youth Group for all students in grades 6-8. We meet in the sanctuary every Wednesday night at 7pm. This month we are learning about the life of Jesus and ways that we can live more like Him.

What should you bring to the message? Good question. You will need 2 things.

#1 Your Bible.
#2 Humility (The students have lost to the MSYG staff in dodge ball every week so far this fall).

THE UNDERGROUND

The underground is our high school youth group that gathers every Thursday night at 7pm in the church. We are currently digging into the New Testament letter from James to Jewish Christians scattered abroad. The following is one method of study that we have used recently in trying to understand God’s purpose for us through James.

3 QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE READING:

Who wrote it?
Who was it written to?
What purpose did they have in writing it?

4 QUESTIONS TO ASK WHILE READING:

What did the passage mean to the original audience?
What things make the original audience different than us?
What is the main points God wanted to make in the text?
How should we apply those points today in our lives?
